Wolfenstein 3d (Sniper)
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Developer: Nerve
Publisher: Activision

Graphics
Unlike other renditions of Wolfenstein 3d, this edition is true to the original in every way. The visuals, colorful and controversial, are present, and with an increased resolution as well. The reminiscent will appreciate the authenticity, and the younger generations will appreciate the game's lustrous appearance.

Sound
Linguists will likely lament the fact that this Xbox Live Arcade version of the game uses the original's grammatically incorrect and broken German as opposed to the proper, albeit drab, voice acting from the Mac and 3DO variants. Everyone else will be thrilled with the decision, and with the inclusion of Bobby Prince's original, noteworthy soundtrack.

Gameplay
Few will argue that Wolfenstein 3d's maps are not creatively superior to those of its more famous brother, Doom. The dual analog stick setup's lack of precision oddly serves as a benefit, as this version plays a little more like the keyboard-oriented original.

Overall
Experiencing this version of Wolfenstein 3d is like being reunited with a good friend of days gone by, whose sudden presence summons a flood of warm memories and the possibility of future memories as fond. There isn't a reason to choose any version of the game other than this one whether experiencing it for the first time or the hundredth.
